The Neighbourhood
Exploring the Area
The house is in the Yoyogi-Uehara neighborhood, close to Yoyogi-koen, Meiji-jingu shrine and the highly fashionable Harajuku and Omotesando. It’s a famous area for Tokyo’s hidden gems, from popular cafes and restaurants like Node Uehara, Asterisque Bakery and Fuku. There is a small shopping street just 3-mins walk from the house where you can find shops like the Los Papelotes bookstore that seem frozen in time. Walk a few metres down and you will find a modern fashion boutique that will suddenly jolt you back to the present.

On a nice summer day, take a stroll or ride a bike to Yoyogi-koen and enjoy the dark green cedar trees that have stood for hundreds of years within Tokyo’s concrete jungles.

There is also the Tokyo Camii Mosque 8- mins walk away, a centrepiece of Turkish architecture and just another example of the diverse cultures found in Yoyogi-Uehara.
